I just want to take a moment and tell everyone how happy and proud I am of the direction of this team. We have an unbelievable team chemistry and prove that week after week. This weekend we played 4 games and although our record was only 2-2, we played 2 of them against C teams and 1 against a D team that ended up winning the tournament.
We continue to have fun playing together and not worrying about any of the small stuff that other teams have to deal with. Will and myself had decided at the beginning of the year that we would not put up with any BS or attitudes and that this would be a fun year to play ball and I believe that even though we had to make a tough decision on players that we would have liked to have kept around, we are better off for it in the long run.
As for personell, Justin C has been a great addition to the team and will primarily play short for us. Also there is another new member named Justin Jones which we will get on the roster probably this week that will be playing part time at second and third for us. Welcome to both of you and we are happy to have you guys around.
We have the NIT in two weeks and will have our next chance to qualify for Super World in Muncie, IN in October. This is a very important tournament and we need to get everyone out their for this. The only person I know of that is missing for that tournament as of right now is myself. I will get with everyone this week to verify that. Again, thanks for everything and it is a good time to be Fusion.

Three good ones in a row.
Well I will not put a lot of time into this but I definitely need to say some things. We have played very well in three straight tournaments. The first tournament at Monkey Mountain was not a big tournament but featured some very solid teams with the Naturals, The Landing and the Regulators from Sedalia. The day started out with us playing a very solid game and at the same time catching The Landing at a good time as they had a very slow start to their day. We ended our day on a positive note beating the Regulators in the championship game avenging our only loss earlier in the day.
The next weekend was our NIT in St. Louis. It was a very long day as we decided the best road to the championship was to get in the losers bracket as early as possible losing to the Wild Hogs out of Illinois. Then with great defense and timely hitting we rolled through the losers bracket winning 3 straight to get an evenutal rematch with the Wild Hogs in the championship game. After blowing out the Wild Hogs in the championship game, adversity hit in the if game. Traveling out of town with only 10 players is never a good thing, and it is especially bad when you have to play all day in the losers bracket and then in the if game you lose a player to ejection. Playing with 9 however, we played as a team and kept our defense solid and even took a lead into the 6th. But, in my eyes, fatigue began setting in and everyone was a little slower and we just didnt have enough in the end. Would love to play that over with 11 guys, but obviously what is done is done. Still a very solid tournament against some very solid teams.
This weekend we played in a World Series Money Qualifier in Blue Springs which was a E, D and C mixed equalizer tournament. In this tournament we ended up with a 2nd place finish beating an E team and a D team. Our last 3 games were against C teams and I must say both of our losses came to Hooters/Miken and watching them hit was impressive. When we played our 5 man they gapped our outfielders and when we moved to 4 outfielders they pounded middle against us. They are a very solid team and most of their guys were pretty cool. The C team that we won against, actually beat us straight up but because of the equalizer we won 10-9. That team was not as cool as many of them complained before the first pitch even about having to give runs to an E team in a money tournament. I am sure none of them will ever read this and I will never put down the team name, but they know who they are and would be nice to show a little class sometime.
Overall, everything so far has gone very well for us. Finally, the team that I feel like even during a little adversity stays together, is positive and does play with class. I appreciate all of you guys and look forward to seeing you all every weekend. See you next weekend in Grain Valley.

Ready for the NIT.
Well the season is finally in full swing and upon us. This weekend went very well, and the team seems to be meshing together very well.
Although, this weekend brings out some great questions. Such as how does your lead off hitter lead the team in RBI's? I guess because the lineup is hitting well from top all the way to the bottom. I must say the players I was most impressed with were Wes, Josh and Will.
Wes played amazing at short, showed good range and a very live arm. And, if I am correct I believe he went 10-13 at the plate and led the team in average this weekend. Josh came alive with his bat after I left (go figure), but most amazing with Josh is how well he played in RF with that crazy wind. I saw a lot of mistakes in the outfield from other right fielders but Josh played the position perfectly and did not have the help of a right centerfielder. Also, Will had a great tournament. Will hit his spots all weekend and honestly I do not remember him walking a single batter (and that was crazy wind). And, finally just ask Aaron and Will, KC Fusion wins every tournament that I leave early. So I guess in the long run it was my doing.
Looking forward to seeing you all at the NIT. Talk to you soon.
